I have known Bex for 4 years now and know she knows her stuff, so I reached out for help with nutrition, even though I thought I ate quite healthily. A set of recalculated metrics and a very simple change in the way I look at things has seen weight and measurements reduce, and fitness increase!! I feel great! I now have a much better understanding of how to fuel my body well

I’ve been working with @bexward_balanced.nutrition for a few months now and I can honestly say she has changed my life. This time last year I was quite overweight and I worked hard to lose some of that weight and get healthier, but this led to me falling into bad habits such as weighing myself daily (and letting the number that came up influence the rest of my day), feeling guilty about eating “bad” foods, being overly restrictive which led to rebound over-eating, and of course I had the classic fear of carbs.  So I contacted Bex and with her support and guidance I now have a much better understanding of how to fuel my body well, I’ve been eating a much more suitable calorie intake for my activity levels and goals and I feel SO MUCH BETTER. She’s been ace at answering all my silly questions and freak outs too! I am seeing gains in strength with lifting and stamina in workouts, and I don’t weigh every day any more – because that number isn’t important. I still have a way to go, but the changes I have seen and felt over the last few months have been awesome and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without Bex.

Bex was introduced to me through a friend because of her work with Hockey for Heroes and she delivered a seminar online for our U6 leavers  prior to them going to University on Nutrition for Performance athletes at University. In preparing her presentation she was very flexible and adaptive to the various elements that this topic would challenge. As well as excellent detail and knowledge on performance nutrition it was also very practical & focussed on moving away from home; the challenge of navigating cafeteria style food for performance & self catering on your first time away from home. Also she created some excellent shopping on a budget tips -buy frozen mixed veg being a hot tip I recall – and also some recipe ideas for the students that were nutritious, affordable & easy to prepare. She came across as both knowledgeable and relatable and this led to an excellent discussion and guidance for our students to take away. I have recommended Bex to other schools and would have no hesitation in recommending her to you.
